Botox is a natural purified protein that relaxes wrinkle causing muscles. Active ingredient is botulinum toxin type A, derived from bacteria, and manufactured under sterile laboratory conditions. Frequently Asked Questions on Botox & Fillers

Does it Hurt?
Not really. A super sharp insulin needle is used for the treatment. It does not penetrate deeply – it just slides under the skin. You will hardly feel a thing, but it is possible there could be a tiny bruise here or there after treatment

How Does it Work?
Botox reduces nerve sensation in the area it is applied to – thus the muscle causing the line does not receive a nerve signal to contract, and the muscle has limited movement for a period of time.

Is the effect instant?
It takes a couple of days to take effect, and up to 2 weeks for the full effect of Botox. People will think you’ve been somewhere for a rest as you will gradually look more relaxed. Dermal Fillers have an instant effect – you will walk out the dorr with your new face.

Can I resume normal activities right away?
Yes, but you should not lie down for at least 4 hours after treatment, and should not massage the area treated for a couple of days after treatment.

How long will the treatment take?
The first consultation will take 15 - 30 mins. Treatments thereafter will be just 15 minute appointments for Botox, 45 – 60 mins for Dermal Filling.

Will my face feel strange?
Not really. Botox does take a few hours to get used to, but you will adjust quickly and certainly there is no discomfort.

Is it permanent?
No. Botox required 3 monthly treatment. Dermal Fillers require either retreatment around 6 – 12 monthly

Is it harmful to my body?
No. Tiny amounts only are injected. Minimum seepage is possible from the injection site, but not enough of the substance is injected to be harmful.
