Microdermabrasion Skin Treatments
Microdermabrasion provides a dramatic improvement in your skin's texture
Microdermabrasion is a proven method of reducing the effects of sun damage, lines and ageing for both men and women of all ages and is safe for every skin type. Arguably, when delivered correctly by an experienced and competent technician, a series of microdermabrasion treatments can achieve more than other more invasive treatments such as IPL, with significantly less down time.
While the delivery of the micro crystals across the skin happens on the superficial layers of the skin: the result of which can be seen immediately post treatment, it is the deeper result that is of greater significance.
The body responds to microdermabrasion by producing more collagen in the deeper layers of skin. It takes about 10 days for the result to manifest on the surface, at which time we would expect to deliver another treatment.
Microdermbrasion is able to be intensified in a number of different ways to increase the effect and is usually recommended as a key part of every treatment plan.Technicians will discuss this with you at an initial consultation, and recommend a treatment plan suited to your skin and lifestyle. This may or may not include one of a wide range of pre treatment preparations, post treatment intensifiers, peels, perhaps IPL and most definitely a home care skincare plan
Skin 2 – get more from your treatments
Skin2 is where we combine two skin enhancement treatments to give more than double the result - for example a deliver an Alpha Hydroxy or Beta Hydroxy skin peels in tandem with microdermabrasion. This delivers a significantly brighter looking skin than either of the treatments delivered in isolation.
Another common combination is to deliver an AHA peel along with an enzyme treatment, for significantly healthier looking skin.

Skin 3 – push the boundaries: triple or more the results
Skin3 is where we add IPL photo rejuvenation or other treatments to Skin2 tandem treatment combinations.
Results will be enhanced even further. A noticeably clearer, more vibrant skin emerges within a week of the first treatment.
Quality Skincare is paramount. If you are planning to make an investment in your skin, we really recommend you also invest in skin care with quality ingredients. This does not have to cost you a huge amount. With microdermabrasion in particular, we recommend Danne Seba-E serum ($68) to be used daily for a week post treatment. Vitamin E will help repair and rebuild the epidermis. It is used under moisturizer once or twice per day depending on how brittle or dry your skin is.
For inflamed skins we recommend Danne Contraderm to be used once daily until the inflammation subsides. This cream is excellent for rebuilding and has powerful anti-inflammatory nutrients
